Hello and Welcome To My Page!

I have been a teacher here at West Valley since the Fall of 2010 and have taught courses including: Regents Living Environment, Regents Chemistry, Regents Physics, Environmental Science, GCC Physics 121, and AIS Science. I have supervised distance learning AP Biology courses as well.

I went to Hartwick College (Go Hawks!) in Oneonta, NY for my undergraduate course work in Biology and Education. While there I played volleyball my freshman year and was involved in various ensembles for which I played the cello. I worked as a TA in Statistics for 2 years for the math department.

For my Masters, I graduated from Buffalo State College with a degree in Physics Education. While there, I took several online courses in Physics from North Carolina State University. I had to learn some computer programming (VPython) and had to attempt to teach myself some Calculus -- I'm still working on that life goal.

Currently, I am taking online courses through Illinois State University to expand my knowledge in the world of Chemistry. I have taken 3 so far and am taking one more course this Fall.

I am from North Java, NY and raise a family there consisting of 1 husband (basically a big kid), 2 small children, and 1 cat. My husband, Bubba, works on my parents dairy farm. My daughter, Lily, 4, is starting pre-k this year at Pioneer and my son, Beau, 2, is a brut. Lily named our cat Joe... which is not confusing at all with a Beau and a Joe in the same household (Ha!).
